Rolled oats are made from whole oat kernels. The selection of the grains is done carefully, requiring uniform white oats free from disease. These grains are then steamed to neutralize lipolytic enzymes and rolled to the required thickness. Their color should be creamy and uniform, and their taste and smell should be appetizing.
